Excited!

I am getting so excited to go to my Jeopardy interview in California and I can't wait for my fundraiser party on twitter Monday night. My mom is teaching me how to use twitter right now. I can't wait to talk to all the people who have helped me raise money. It's going to be fun. Thank you again to everybody and thank you for your donations.

Love,

Moana

Fundraising has begun,by Moana

Today my mom, myself and our friends launched all my fundraising sites. I am really excited because this has been one of my dreams for a longtime. One day I would like to be an OBGYN and this is the beginning of it. If I make it past my interview and appear on the show I can use the money I win for my college education. I want to say thank you to everyone who has helped get my fundraising sites up and running and I want to thank the people who have already started donating.

Love,

Moana

Welcome to Moana's Blog!

For the past 2 years we have watched Jeopardy almost every night as a family. My daughter, Moana, has always wanted to go on the kids version of the show and play.

I signed up to get notifications from Jeopardy so she could try out the next time they had testing for the show. I received an email last fall saying the show would be conducting online testing the last week of October and of course, Moana wanted to sign up.

She took the test on October 28th and she felt pretty confident that she had done well. We had no idea if she passed or failed, all we knew is that if she was what they were looking for they would email us by the end of the year to set up an interview for her in Los Angeles.

Well, I got THAT magical email and now we are in a bit of a panic to get Moana down to Los Angeles for her interview which is scheduled for Sunday,January 15th and 9:00 A.M.

We are a family of four and like a lot of families these days, we are struggling to get by on one income. We don't have any money for extras let alone a trip to Los Angeles. Moana worked so hard to make it this far and we are desperate to get her to that interview and her dream of being on Jeopardy.

Its a pretty remarkable feat for her to make it on her first attempt. People try for years to get on Jeopardy and NEVER make it, but my little girl made it the first time she took the test. I have always told both of my daughters to go after their dreams and I don't want this opportunity to pass Moana by because we can't afford to send her to her interview.

Any donation would be very much appreciated and will go towards getting her down to her interview.

Thank you.
