Studying

I am determined to make it on Jeopardy in 2013. I am studying ALOT and thanks to my very sweet Aunties and their doggies, my Mom, Stepdad, sister,Grandma and family,I have been getting quizzed almost everyday. The online test is in October and I WILL BE TAKING AND PASSING IT AGAIN! Jeopardy here I come! Please feel free to message my Mom any quiz questions for me. Thank you.

Jeopardy???

Hello to all of my friends and family all over the world. Sorry I've been gone,I have busy with school. Well I should be finding out this week if I made it to appear on Jeopardy. I try not to think about it and hope that my Mom will surprise me with news that Jeopardy has called her. So please think happy thoughts for me. I'll be blogging again soon and if I don't make it this time,I will take the test again in October and do it all over again. I won't give up!! Thank you all again for your love and nice comments.

Its been a week

Last week at this time I was in the middle of my Jeopardy interview. I was having lots of fun but at the same time I was nervous. I think about Jeopardy every day! I hope that Jeopardy will call me! Everybody keep your fingers crossed and please say a prayer for me!!

My Jeopardy Experience

The morning started off with my mom and I getting ready for my interview bright and early. My interview was in Culver City. I was REALLY nervous and excited at the same time. When we got there I filled out some paperwork asking questions about me. Then, they took my picture and I had to leave my mom behind. I walked into a room with 18-20 kids and we all sat down at tables. The lady from Jeopardy explained to us how everything works and what we would be doing. First, we played a pretend game of Jeopardy just to get the feeling of the game. We all got to at least answer one question. Next, we did a written test,with 30 questions,which was kind of hard and easy.Then, when we were done the people from Jeopardy collected our information and tests and left the room to grade them. After they came back into the room we played another pretend game of Jeopardy with actual buzzers! They called up three people at a time to play. I did really good at that part,it was my favorite thing we did. After that we got to talk about ourselves for about 5 minutes. I told them all about my family and what I like to do.Then they asked us what we would do if we won $10,000.00.Alot of the kids didnt have an answer but I said I would use it for college,alzheimers research,breast cancer research and helping to rescue abused animals. When we were all done they gave us a pen and a frisbee with the Jeopardy logo on it as a souvenir. The total process took about 3 hours!! I was relieved when it was all over and I am now hoping I made it on the show!! It was fun and I'm so grateful to all of the people that helped me get to this stage in my journey. They said if I made it that they would contact us by the middle of February. So we will keep everybody updated.

We left California yesterday and none of us wanted to come home.I have always loved California and one day I hope we can live there because I think it will be easier to go after my dreams of modeling,acting and becoming a doctor.

Everybody please keep your fingers crossed, I'm ready to kick butt at Kids Jeopardy!!

What An Experience!

Good morning everyone. This is Moana's Mom. Just wanted to let everyone know we made it home,talk about a change from the California weather. Its freezing. Moana's interview process went amazing and she loved it,talk about a once in a lifetime experience! She wrote down all her feelings and her experience and will be posting it on here tonight(along with ALOT of wonderful pics that she can't wait to share) sorry for the delay but she needed a keyboard.

We want to send a huge thank you again to everyone of you who shared Moana's story,supported her and donated. We are so grateful and are so happy to have friends and family like all of you. We already know how special Moana is and what an amazing young lady she is, now the rest of the world can fall in love with her too. We will know by the middle of February if she made the show. So please keep your fingers crossed and say a little prayer for our angel.

Also, I know several of you were wondering what has happened to Moana's Facebook page. People who will not be mentioned because they will not be allowed to interrupt our lives/bring negativity or "claim" Moana now, found her Facebook and were using it to post unnecessary comments that had nothing to do with our 10 year old daughter(Moana was not subject to those comments).She is a child and does not need drama brought into her life or into this amazing experience that we have all been a part of. I will leave it at that. Moana will keep updating her blog on here,starting tonight and will still use her Twitter too,but everything will be monitored even closer now so she doesn't get hurt by anyones comments.

I feel like I've said thank you a million times and I'll keep saying it. We feel so lucky and so blessed. We had love,support and donations that literally spread around the world,from the UK, the Phillipines,Canada,Japan and all over the United States. It's amazing how complete strangers will come together and help someone they don't even know to help them reach their dreams. We live in such a negative world sometimes, it's nice to know there's still so many amazing people out there. You are all a part of our family. We'll keep you all posted and look for Moana's blog tonight.

We are in Los Angeles

We finally arrived here in LA!!!!! The drive was REALLY long!! We took pictures by every state border!! My sister and I kept each other busy and we laughed ALOT!! We checked in last night at our hotel, we rested a little while then we went and ate some ono Hawaiian food. My sister and I loved the musubi. After that we went back to the hotel and went to sleep. Now we are awake. Today will be an adventure!

Guess What????

I found out yesterday that after ALOT of hard work and fundraising,I will get to go to my Jeopardy in LA!! I am so excited! I'm going to try my hardest. I will be taking pictures,tweeting and blogging my experience. Thank you to all of our friends and family for helping. I feel so lucky,happy and excited!!

Sending Big Thank You's

Thank to everyone who helped yesterday with my fundraiser. I'm almost to my goal!! I'm really excited and I hope we can make to my goal. We have four days left to fundraise so that we can get me to my Jeopardy interview. Thank you all again. I'll be blogging updates all week.

Fundraiser Tomorrow

Hi everyone. It's Friday and were getting closer to my interview with Jeopardy. We will be having a fundraiser tomorrow with my Mom and lots of our sweet friends. We will be playing Jeopardy and there will be some really cool prizes that some very nice people have donated. The time is 3-6 PM EST which is 1-4 Utah time. Moana Was Interviewed By Our Local ABC 4 KTVX News!

I just did a Interview with our Local News Station

I just finished an interview with one of our local reporters from Channel 4 News(Link/video coming soon) I was so nervous when he was interviewing me but I made it through the interview. I really expressed myself and told him my story. It was cool to see how all the cameras work. We even had a little JEOPARDY game. He asked me questions and I got ALL of them right!! I hope everyone will check out my interview tonight at 5pm.

Thank You and We Are Having Another Fundraiser

We would like to send a huge thank you to everyone has helped,contributed and donated to help Moana get to her interview in L.A. We are making great progress but still need donations. We will be having another fundraiser on Twitter this Saturday the 7th from 3-6 PM EST(1-4 Utah time). Happy New Year everyone! What are some of your new year's resolutions? My one and only dream this year is to make it on Jeopardy. I'm so grateful for everyone's help and love.
